You’re looking at about 150 hours of work, and 3 years of off and on experimentation, mostly problem solving galore… But I’m very excited and beyond satisfied with seeing it completed, and I really hope others love it as much as I do!
This piece would be great for a club, music festival, event decor in general, and even just an epic piece for a home, like a man-cave or something along those lines.
The lights have nearly endless combinations and can be controlled with an app, and can even react with music. I really love how much it changes in different lighting. The Mandala was made from a 6ft wide circular table 1in thick. I drilled holes inside each cd through the table and added acrylic rods in the hole so that they transfer the light from the back. Each CD has its own protective cover as well, to ensure it stands the test of time. I’ll show the making of it all and a ton more details in my video coming soon. It mounts with 4 screws going directly through the front of it which are painted and remain hidden. There’s also added door knobs with glass features on 7 of the cds to give it more of a unique design. Free delivery / installation if you’re 50 miles from gainesville VA.
